TEF Canada

The TEF Canada (Test d’évaluation de français) is an official French language evaluation recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for immigration purposes. It assesses your French language proficiency in reading, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking. The results of the TEF Canada test are used by IRCC to determine your eligibility and score for various Canadian immigration programs, including Express Entry and provincial nominee programs. TEF Canada and TCF Canada are the two French tests currently accepted by IRCC.

Meeting the required French language proficiency levels demonstrated by your TEF Canada scores is crucial for many Canadian immigration applications. Different programs and immigration streams have specific minimum score requirements. It is essential to understand these requirements and prepare adequately for the TEF Canada examination to support your immigration goals in Canada. Scores are valid for two years from the date of issue.
