Capital: Whitehorse
Canada's last frontier, where employers bring in the workers they need.
The Yukon offers dramatic wilderness and a tight labour market in which local employers actively recruit. Newcomers immigrate through federal Express Entry and the employer-driven Yukon Nominee Program.
Skilled and semi-skilled workers with a Yukon job offer, and entrepreneurs.
The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is employer-driven: a Yukon employer with a genuine job offer nominates a worker, who then applies to IRCC for permanent residence. It also offers a business pathway and an Express Entry-aligned option. Individuals can't self-apply, and intake now runs in limited windows with a small annual allocation — check the official Yukon.ca site for open periods.
